Empowerment of School- Coding for Kids

The main role of education is to teach value for education, not the only the value education.  There is a big gap between learning and teaching. Teaching students to pass should not be the only motive, making children future ready should be focused.

Today access to technology and gadgets is far more than imagined. In today's world, a child is exposed to the technology, whether it is in the form of computer, mobile or tablets at a very early stage as compared to their previous generations. Kids intuitively explore all the features of gadgets out of curiosity without the help on anyone.  They quickly learn to navigate through all the feature and sometimes they also have the curiosity to add new features to it, but due to lack of knowledge of coding or programming, they couldn't go further. And as guided by parents and teachers that adding a new feature is the job of engineers, not your's because you don't know computers language. This way their feather is cut down before flying.

According to Steve Jobs, “Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer because it teaches you how to think.”
Schools offer many subjects to make kids future ready and introducing programming classes in the schools can boost knowledge of the kid and he will able to understand the basics of programming design, its structure and will also improve their logical thinking. Of course, we don't want everything kid to become a software engineer but by learning to code a child can take more out of a smartphone or computer and will also help them to improve logical as well as practical thinking of a kid.

Coding is as easy as learning any other language we speak. The difference is that programming can be understood by a computer only, not by humans. The earlier we expose coding to kids, the more comfortable they will become with computers and technology and the more successful they will become when presented with more challenging learning opportunities.
